Question I have a Question...

All boards alow down and become a lot less active over-time.

would any of you guys like to see a spin-off of facts at life? Since tootie decided to enroll her daughter in eastland, wouldn't it be great to see her and Jamie going to eastland and have the parents come in ever so often just like in facts of life.

I think it would be great what do you guys think?

after all we have waited a long time for this

Good question

I know we all love FOL, but I don't really think a spin-off would be that great of an idea. I don't know everybody elses take on it, but Tootie's kid and Jo's kid just couldn't carry the show. The show might involve Tootie and Blair somewhat, and maybe Nat can make a few guest appearances and I guess there would be talk about Jo. Viewers wouldn't exactly be able to see her, but I'm sure there would be the telephone calls and such. You know how sitcoms do.

We were pretty fortunate with FOL because everybody could act on the show. I'm talking about the 5 main actresses on the show. They did a great job in bringing the roles to life, but I doubt Tootie's kid and Jo's kid could bring the roles to life.

If we did see a spin-off, I bet it would be swallowed by the shark by a few episodes. You never know though. If they bring in other child actresses and really had some great storylines and scripts, it just might work.

Welcome To The Boards!

Anyways, I think it might possibly work, if Jo's Child and Tootie's Child go to Eastland, and Blair is the headmaster I think it might fit into the show somehow. The show could also focus on where Natalie gets a job as a writer in the big apple. She could stop by and visit a couple times. Jo could possibly be a teacher at Eastland, like she was hoping to be, and thats how she would fit in. As for Tootie she could be a drama coach or an Acting teacher to the students at Eastland. Mrs. Garrett and Beverly Ann could be neighbors, nearby Eastland, and Andy could be at Langley.

I noticed there was no option for "No" on the poll.

I love the show, but I think if you take part of it away it just won't float. Kind of like taking Bea Arthur out of The Golden Girls, leaving Golden Palace. It had humor, but it wasn't like the original.

That's my vote...

PS -- I'll never turn down a reunion option -- if at least 4 out of 5 participate!

Agreed. I don't think a spinoff could do FOL justice.

In my opinion, It would suck if they had a spin-off. They would not know all of the details of FOL, and It would be like the reunion and probably be really lame. Plus, no one could EVER replace the wonderful characters! If they do another reunion, It should be written by the REAL FOL writers and not someone that doesnt know crap.

Well, Personally I think it could work!

Remember saved by the bell the new class, it was good once we ecepted it(for some of us it longer to accept it and a Phone call from Richard Jackson)But finally we did!

It can work we have seen it before and I think they should at least give it a try after all there is a shortage of good family oriented shows on tv today and 7th Heaven is now in it's 7th season, so it's not that they are wanted it's they aren't made and showed anymore and Facts of Life was Great then and I think it could be just as Great now.

I would like to say think you to everyone that welcomed me to the board and I plan on sticking around for a
