Default Did you like Birds of Prey?

I watched Birds instead of watching the new TZ, and I must say I think Birds has a long life ahead. In my opinion, I don't think the show will be a one year wonder. It was a great pilot. Usually pilots kind of suck, but this one was pretty good.

Did you guys like it?

It wasn't that bad, It was like a different prespective on "Batman", and definetly has some points of interest, and I can also see this show having a long life, I'm sure there are many fans that are interested to see this show, and what its like for a new generation of "Batman".

I liked it. I was surprised... it was actually good.

Good job WB!

The only thing that bugs me is the actress who plays Barbara. She looks weird in that Batgirl outfit. I didn't much care for it. I hate that Catwoman really is dead and Batman just dumped his child with Barbara. He's supposed to be a hero.

Yeah, I agree on the Catwoman/Batman parts. Just think of the storyline possibilities if Batman were to return in a season or two. Wow. And who says Catwoman is REALLY dead, after all, a cat has nine lives... So many possibilites...

And I honestly liked it more than I thought I would. From what I've heard, the original, now unaired Pilot, was darker (meaning, just an overall dark show). I'm glad they changed some things. Helena's (Huntress) costume is supposed to somewhat change in episode 2... strange, LOL.

Question

When did The Joker find out about Batgirls identity?

I believe he must've followed her home. That's the only answer. They never explained it if he did find out. Or, maybe it was just an error on the writers part; but he most likely followed her home that night (off-screen, that is).

I just wondered because in the flash backs she just got out of the shower to answer the door and there was Joker with a gun.

Birds of Prey is on the road to being canceled. I read on a Birds website that the show is losing ratings and if it continues WB will cancel it.

Also Rebecca from Full House plays Black Canery in this weeks episode. She is Catwomans enemy and came to kill Helena/Huntress. When she learns the daughter she gave up is there helping fight crime she orders Dinah to leave with her. All and all it sounds great. And has anyone noticed, if you are recording this show, how short it is? The episodes are 37 to 39 minutes long. I wonder why The WB is doing that.

That's kind of sad if it's on the road to cancellation. Well, if they do cancel it I hope they at least play the 22 episodes from season 1. They did give it a chance or they would've canceled it after 2 episodes. I have a feeling they might have an ace up their sleeve to pull in ratings. They might bring Batman/Bruce Wayne into it. Bruce wants to get into Helena's life, but Helena is gonna put up that fence since Bruce left her.

I never really noticed the time limit. I tape the whole thing, including commericials. The only time I cut commericials is if I only have a little bit of tape left.

I love "Birds". It's an awesome show.

The main thing I like most about it is Dina Meyer (Barbara Gordon/Oracle). Her acting skills are amazing...she IS the Orcale. And Ashsley Scott makes a GREAT Huntress.

If the show gets cancelled so soon that'll be too bad, because although it has some weak points (that kid Dinah, for one and the "everyone's a metahuman" thing) all shows need a while before they get good. If the network gave it a real chance and let it run for a whole season it would probably improve greatly.

Welcome to the Batman board Angel Wings.

Have you all noticed that most of the criminals die or totally disappear at the end of the episodes? If they keep killing the crooks they'll run out of crook ideas pretty fast. That's what I liked about the Batman original series. None of the crooks died. The only one that died was Molly. If Batman did that originally (killing crooks off after one guest shot), it prob. wouldn't last for a season and a half. Look at how many guest shows the main 4 crooks did. What if they all died after being on the show once?

Hi, Jenny. Yeah I've noticed.

Personally I think they should bring in some villains from the comics, like Scarecrow, Riddler, and Two Face. That would be neat.

I would love to see Poison Ivy, Joker, and Catwoman on the show. That would be neat if Catwoman was alive and came back evil. Huntress would have to fight her own mother. They could do all kinds of ideas to help save the show but they wont.
