So sorry for not getting back to you. I went to sleep. Now, what I'm going to do is copy and paste what happened to me from previous emails . The reason is because I've said it so often. If you have any questions, let me know.


Ok. I don't know if you know my situation. But I'm homeless right now and really haven't been to work in a couple of months. I've worked very little. I was in a Psych Ward for about a month.

I was evicted from my house in January and I was in a Psych Ward for about a month and couldn't work. I was at a Warming Center where I slept on the floor for 2 weeks and hardly showered because there weren't any showers there.
I'm at a shelter now and can't work because I have a SEVERE mental illness. Basically, I've hardly been to work in a few months. I wasn't sure where I was going to sleep or eat. I have no way of getting to work and public transportation gives me very bad anxiety and stress. So I haven't been working. I'm really struggling right now. I haven't been medically cleared to go back to work
I'm at Columbus House Shelter on Ella T Grasso Boulevard in New Haven.I lost my mom over 5 years ago, my photos, my house, my furniture, my Momentos.
Essentially, the reason for this email is that I want to report my Conservator...in Branford CT. He was appointed my Conservator by the East Haven/North Haven Probate Court last November. He has not helped me at all since day one. He's never around when I call him and hardly ever responses to my emails. Now, he did have my mail forwarded to his office. I haven't gotten any mail since I was evicted from my house in January. I was in the hospital, sleeping at a Warming Center etc. I have called and emailed him for my mail since April and no response.

My case manager at Columbus House called him 3 weeks ago and said he would get the mail to me. He said the same thing a week later. Basically, I still don't have my mail. The reason why I need my mail is my taxes is in the mail and I'm expecting a refund as I'm flat broke. I did call the IRS and they sent me the form and I'm having a co-worker's father do my taxes and I'm waiting for my refund.
I still need my mail because there are forms, doctors release, transportation forms, social security forms that I need to go back to work because I'm not medically cleared because of him. I lost a potential room for rent because of him as I didn't have the money from the refund or any money from work because I haven't been working. I'm lose the security deposit because only for a couple more days and I to show that I'm working and trying to get a place or I'll lose the deposit. So, I could lose the deposit, my refund and quite honestly, my JOB because of him.

Ok, so I was in a shelter and finally got a place in a recovery house which I'm at now . I've been there for over a year now. I was kicked out of the place briefly in September last year for not paying the rent. I wasn't working as much because I had just gone back to work and I spent money on food because the shelter food was ok but if you wanted a snack you couldn't get and if you got a snack it would be at night. It was 3 meals a day and I was still hungry. No soda but that orange drink you would get at middle school and high school dances. I befriended one person but people hardly spoke to me. You had to wake up between 5:30-7am and I sat in a chair from that time until 6pm that night.

So, when I got kicked out of the place I'm at now I stayed with one of my ex coworkers family for 2 days after my ex coworker and her husband paid for a hotel room. Then my ex coworker family paid my back rent.

My food stamps went from 23.00 to 34.00 to 59.00 to 110.00 to 125.00. I've been collecting bottles and cans to survive because my rent is 205.00 a week. Other than that, I'm still working and actually got time and half for 2 days last week and got a very good pay.

Hi Mets82, so sorry to hear you are going through all this. I knew things were rough with you, losing your Mom and all , but didn't know it was this bad!

Sounds like you've had more than your share and not alone in all this and that's no consolation for you. Get all the resources you can and hope others are sending good WISHES to you as I am.....Lot are struggling.

So, how is everyone? I have been working as much as I can but its hard because sometimes my mental health is sometimes up and down, more up than down.
When I was in the shelter, I was set up to where im at now. Im in a recovery house even though I don't do drugs or anything. But that's what the case worker from the shelter was able to get for me.

I've had roommates, mostly I've got along with, a few that I didn't. There's usually about 12 people in the house. I'm in a better position than I was a few years ago. I also have my 25th High School Reunion in a few weeks, so im happy about that.

How is everyone here? Anything happen?

I'll admit. I have my days where im mentally fried and my OCD flares up but I think I'm in a better place then I was a couple of years ago.

I just can't believe on December 17, my mother will have been gone 8 years. Sometimes I just can't believe it.
