Default John Lennon

Today would have been his 62 birthday. He was a musical genius, he was the founder of the beatles, and in my opinion the most gifted songwriter of the three (sorry ringo), he was also a great solo artist. May his memory live on forever!

Gee, how could I forget that! Thanks for the reminder.

How old is Sean now? It's his birthday too.

Holy Moly! It's hard to believe that the great, fabulous Beatles are that old! I think I will go and hide! They WILL live forever! Happy birthday John! RIP

I think that Mark David Chapman should be released from prison. Before everyone starts disagreeing with me, hear me out. In prison he's basically kept by himself and nobody bothers him... and you know that if he does get out he's more than likely going to get his ass beat several times along with being tormented by just about everyone. I think the latter would be more punishment than keeping him in prison.

I don't think he deserves his freedom. If he were released, he could live in anonymity and start his life over. It's been over 20 years, and he could easily disquise his appearance.
Also, who's to say the deranged piece of crap wouldn't take the life of another innocent person?
Life in prison for Mark David Chapman suits me just fine. Anything less insults the memory of John Lennon.

True.. but there's always the chance that someone finds out who he is and beats the hell out of him.

Now that idea I like!
Perhaps he's gotten his share of ass whoppings from a few inmates who were also Lennon fans.

Sad

IN two more years this song will be the wonder of us alll once again. Wish we could have gotten the answer to his question -- "Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four"?

When I'm Sixty-Four
(John Lennon, Paul McCartney)
Lead Vocal: Paul McCartney

When I get older losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine

If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four

You'll be older too
And if you say the word
I could stay with you

I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride
Doing the garden, digging the weeds
Who could ask for more
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four

Every summer we can rent a cottage
In the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera Chuck & Dave

Send me a postcard, drop me a line
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer, fill in a form
Mine for evermore
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four
