What are some albums that are dragged down by being needlessly long?

Albums in general got way longer once CDs came out, often reaching twice the length of a Vinyl LP, and not necessarily for the better.

The album I would have to say would most likely hold the record for longest album in music history would be Janet Jackson's 1993 album Janet and I never figured out how or why in the world it's a very long album in the first place? At 27 songs I cannot see how this album sold big for Janet Jackson. Part of the reason why the Janet album is so long is most of the tracks are interludes before the actual songs began and at the end there is an interlude called Are You Still Up? then becomes the outro Sweet Dreams and then a bonus song called Whoops Now actually ends the album. I remember when Janet Jackson first came out her first albums had eight and nine songs but her first twenty track album was the Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation album from 1989. I remember buying my copy of Janet at Goodwill and when I listened to it I couldn't believe how long the album was and what Janet Jackson should've done with this album was removed the interludes and had just the songs alone and that would've been much better in my eyes

Many have complained that Iron Maiden's last two albums, 'Book Of Souls' and 'Senjutsu' are much too long since they have taken a more prog rock direction as of late. The first album from 2015 is 92.11 minutes long and the latest is 81.53 minutes long. Kerry King of Slayer, says he can't listen to them because of the excessive album length.
