Modern Family is joining nick@nite lineup starting September 10

TVInsider and Zap2it updated: Modern Family is quietly joining nick@nite lineup only airing 2am-4am, replacing Mom slot which is off the lineup for now. Mom last airing will be September 2.

Wonder why not new shows air at primetime? They want to KEEP Friends in primetime, until around 2am because it only did decent in ratings, but I think it's obvious boomers and millennials like Friends.

But why is it "quietly" joining the line-up? It makes it seem that Nick@Nite is ashamed of including the show.

When I meant "quietly", I meant the fact that Modern Family promo has NOT been advertised nor mentioned on text yet, I just looked up yesterday when zap2it and TVInsider updated replaced "To Be Announced" and Modern Family listings just showed up.

The show has been on E! and would later lose rights after Sept 6. It used to air on USA network, but not anymore. It will still continue to air on TBS as well.

This might be hinted that Nick@Nite will air 2024 Video Music Awards. It's been done every year since 2019. And if that's the case, then this would be 5th time Friends on day didn't air single one. Last time was Sept 2023 when Nick@Nite aired 2023 Video Music Awards and Friends airing wasn't in there for a day.


Speaking of Friends, in weird way, each day they're airing each season from beginning for no reason.

Modern Family is a great and funny show they should put in primetime it will not gain viewers airing only in graveyard overnight slots.

Great to see Modern Family got promo. I do wish Modern Family to air on primetime, but problem was Friends was doing too good to air in primetime to move more further late night slots. After what happened with Young Sheldon when used to air in primetime before, there was fan outrage on social media, so nick@nite kept Friends in primetime.

However no promo for Friends a thon, nor mentions of it. Airing it as usual.

Nickelodeon finally issued a press release for Modern Family.

Although the statement says,

"The series joins a stellar roster of popular family comedies, including Emmy® Award-winning shows Friends, Mike & Molly and Mom, as well as beloved sitcoms Young Sheldon and The Neighborhood, and marks the first time the sitcom will air within Paramount’s family of brands."

Mike & Molly and Mom already left nick@nite recently.

TV-14 shows (Mike & Molly and Mom) are gone. MTV Video Music Awards is TV-14, they still air Video Music Awards every year since 2019.

The reason why Nick at Nite is starting Friends from the very beginning this Sunday night. It's because they're advertising it as a Every Friends Episode Ever event.
