Which is better-The Arnold's from 74-79 or the new Arnold's from 80-84? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I saw the Episode Today on TV LAND when Chachi accidently burned down Arnold's and they started to rebuild a new Arnold's. In my opinion, The new Arnold's didn't look like a hangout, it looked more like a restuarunt.

I know-the part when they were dancing, everyone looked lke they were dancing inside a restarunt. Did Ralph, Richie, and Potsie hangout in the new arnold's before the 79-80 season came to a end?

I just saw that it was only 7 episodes left after the new Arnold's was built so Richie and Ralph didn't spend too much time in the new Arnold's

Yeas, it is a dif.. story with joanie chach and jenny but VERY good eps. still just not as good and funny, and Potsie still hansg around on 1980, but is not as funyn as he is when with Ralph!

I definitley prefer the original Arnold's. You guys are right, the new one just didn't have the same atmosphere as the original. When the introduced the new Arnold's, it was like a start of a new era (one I didn't like as much). It was kind of like "Happy Days; the Next Generation," since it started to focus on the younger characters. But I digress...

This is the episode that makes me hate Chachi. Anyways...

74-77 are my favorites 78 & 79 are pretty good too. The new Arnolds sucked....but hey...blame Chachi!

Without a doubt, the original Arnold's. You'll notice, it even changed a little between season two and three, when they went to a live audience..

It may have changed a little between season two and three, but it stii maintained the look of a hangout rather than a restarunt
