In 1989 singer Basia performed a cover of the Aretha Franklin hit Until You Come Back To Me "That's What I'm Gonna Do" and her version was the first time I heard of this song and Basia's version was a great hit. Little did we know also in 1989 that this song would be covered again this time by R&B singer Miki Howard and when you listen to Miki's version you'll see that the beat and music is identical to Basia's version and Miki's version of Until You Come Back To Me is flawless as well. I found it hard to believe that both Basia and Miki Howard both covered this song in the same year

In my eyes I think Basia's version of Until You Come Back To Me "That's What I'm Gonna Do" is great and is very upbeat and I find it hard to believe that she released it as a single. But when you listen to Miki Howard's version of Until You Come Back To Me she sounds almost like Basia and it was also released as a single too in 1989. But as I said in my opening post the music of Miki's version sounds identical to Basia's version
