Post Heaton Vs. Pfeiffer

Did anybody else hear this story about Patricia Heaton and movie star Michelle Pfeiffer?

On the David Letterman show, Patricia poked fun at a certain celebrity(Pfeiffer) who denied ever getting plastic surgery. Patricia claimed that she did and was lying. Pfeiffer got upset at Patricia and continued to deny the rumors. Patricia then had to apologize to Michelle.

What's the big deal if Michelle Pfeiffer got plastic surgery? Even Patricia has admitted to going under the knife.

She apologized?

Wow, seems Michelle is a bit touchy besides being a liar.

It is quite apparant that almost all actors have had some work done at some point. Not all, almost all though.

Tell me you see 60 year old people on the street who look like actors of the same age.

And half of those actors are recovering from some sort of substance abuse, which really seems not to have an effect on their looks.

Hmmmm.

Are you sure she apologized? I really don't think she had to.
She never mentioned Michelle's name during the interview. It's not a big deal that Michelle had plastic surgery (if she did) it's just that Patricia was trying to make a point. I remember Patricia saying that people shouldn't compare themselves to celebrities because when you see celebrities, that's not how they really look. I actually praise Patricia for being completely honest and frank about her plastic surgery.

I'm positive she apologized. The only reason is because when word got out that she was talking about another celebrity, the media started to investigate and assumed it was about Pfeiffer. Patricia basically said it was just tongue and cheek and never meant to single anyone out.

I found this article online:

Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton has apologized to Michelle Pfeiffer after claiming the movie star had undergone plastic surgery - at the hands of her own doctor. Heaton shocked viewers of David Letterman's late night talk show in America last week when she talked joked about Pfeiffer's cosmetic surgery, but now she insists she was joking. Heaton says, "In an attempt at being humorous, I made statements regarding an actress and plastic surgery that were completely fabricated. I have since spoken with Michelle, and she has very graciously accepted my apology." Heaton also blamed the media for misconstruing her comments and assuming she was talking about Pfeiffer. A spokeswoman for Pfeiffer confirmed the apology has been accepted but says, "This is serious. I don't want this to just be a joke that went awry."

I'm actually disappointed in Patricia. Why should she apologize? Some people need to learn how to take a joke.

Sorry, I would prefer to email you this but since you'd opted to not allow people to view your email address under your profile I don't have much choice.

In regards to your signature..could you refrain from direct linking to images over at my website Patricia Heaton Online. It's just that I'm forking out enough $$ as it is for web hosting already.

Feel more than free to save the image to your own web server.

Thanks for your understanding.

Well that's a little harsh.
It's just a picture for crying out loud, and one other note:

If you are paying for a site that is devoted to a televison star, aren't you a little whacked to be claiming "this is mine."
Are you like 12 or something?

She probably apologized to keep the peace. I don't think she needed to either. She did nothing wrong. Michelle oughta lighten up.

Yeah but she is full of it if she says she never went under the knife.

So, usually being a hypocrite and a liar doesn't constitute being good people. She seems like a bitch.

And plastic surgery can make anyone look good.
