Ok, so here's the "scoop". I was walking into my cubicle just as the phone rang this afternoon. I was distracted when I picked up the phone, and about fell to the floor when I heard his voice! All day today I jumped out of my skin whenever I heard the phone ring, and that time I wasn't even thinking about it! I still get goosebumps when I realized I actually talked to him on the phone! He was very talkative. I didn't have to ask him any questions--in fact, he even asked questions about me! How nice is that?? So, I explained about the online chat, and he said he was definitely willing to do that, but he doesn't have internet access, so we have to figure out how to work that. He even was willing to talk about Freddie with no prompting at all! He mentioned that he had been with Freddie 4 hours before he shot himself, and had had no idea he was going to do it. He mentioned that he left the Hollywood scene in part because of what it had done to Freddie, and also because he saw what it did to other friends, and he wanted to get out while he was ahead, so to speak. May I say, also, he has a GREAT voice! LOL! He also talked a lot about what he's doing now. He's very involved in the community he's in, and also some charities. He faxed me some information about himself, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. He got my address and phone number from me, and promised to stay in touch. After we hung up, he faxed me a really nice letter saying that it had been nice to talk to me, and he was surprised and pleased that people are interested in him! Then he called AGAIN to see if I had gotten the fax. When we were on the phone the first time, he told me that I had "made his day." I was like WHAT?? I told him no, he made MY day! LOL! I was a complete wreck after we hung up! LOL! I still am! He was very nice and open, so it should be a really good chat when we get it set up! I'm sure I'll remember more details later, and I'll post them when I do!

Starshine, I posted a reply to you on the Yahoo club before I read all the details here--ditto the e-mail I last sent! It does sound like he's a really nice person and he did know Freddie personally and all, but I'm just gonna say for the benefit of those on this board who don't go to Yahoo the same kind of thing I said there--as long as I can't talk to Freddie himself, I wouldn't know what to say to anyone who was around him! No offense to anybody involved, OK? You've done a great job working on this,I'm not trying to diminish your efforts at all!

Question

Hey Starshine - what's the latest on Mando?
I haven't heard you mention anything about him in a while. I wonder will he be in any
more episodes of CATM with Chico? Is he in
any more episodes when Chico is gone? Have
you spoken with Isaac Ruiz anymore at all?

I may not have mentioned him in awhile, but I think about him every day! LMAO! I don't want to be a pest, and he said he would be in touch with me, so I'm waiting "patiently"! Yeah, right! LOL! I do know he was in one episode after Freddie died--it's the episode where Ed tells Raul that Chico died. If you haven't seen that episode, just wait. It's a real bawler!

I saw that one & noticed that they never did explain how Chico died. I would've loved to have known how he died in the show. I'm suspecting the character of Chico wouldn't have commited suicide. Does anyone know?

& Good luck with getting hold of Mando. He sounds like a nice guy! & Like someone who really needs a computer! He also needs his own website! That would really update everyone on him. If he is the same guy I am thinking of he was hilarious.
