Default Hawkshaw Hawkins

I found a country singer by the name of Hawkshaw Hawkins and I would like to know if anyone remembers him? Hawkshaw Hawkins came out around the same time as Hank Williams and Jim Reeves and had hits such as Rebound and The Mark Around My Finger and he was actually a great singer

Hawkshaw Hawkins also died in the same plane crash as Patsy Cline? I didn't even know this because I knew Cowboy Copas died in that plane crash also with Patsy Cline too. Was Hawkshaw Hawkins gonna be one of Patsy Cline's opening acts at the time?

What was Hawkshaw Hawkins first ever hit? And why was he nicknamed Hawkshaw?

I had never even heard of Hawkshaw Hawkins until my father used to like some of his songs and Hawkshaw was very talented and another thing my father and I found out that I really like is that Hawkshaw and I have almost the same name because Hawkee can also be short for Hawkshaw too as well

He was born Harold Hawkins. A neighbor nicknamed him Hawkshaw Hawkins after a comic strip detective. Apparently he found something missing of the neighbor's and that's why the neighbor called him that.

Hawkshaw Hawkins was nicknamed after a comic strip detective named Hawkshaw? That's pretty funny and how did he get famous in country music? Was Hawkshaw Hawkins planning to become Patsy Cline's opening act but they both died in that same plane crash at the time?

Every morning when I have Pandora on Dad always likes to dance and sing to Hawkshaw Hawkins songs and when a Hawkshaw Hawkins song comes on Dad always sings it and likes to also call me Hawkshaw too which I dislike. But when I have classic country music on Pandora Dad always seems to enjoy singing along. Another Hawkshaw Hawkins song i've found is a really funny one called Slow Poke and the lyrics are such a laugh

Was Hawkshaw Hawkins gonna be as big as Jim Reeves or Hank Williams? Because he sounded like he would've competed with Jim Reeves and Roy Acuff. I think had Hawkshaw Hawkins lived he would've been a mega star in country music
