Which one hit wonders to the UK and US had songs that were uncharted or only local hits but were better than the hit they were famous for?

This song was the #1 country song of 2008, but in my opinion, there was so much more where it came from.

Mike Oldfield will forever be a one hit wonder in the U.S. for "Tubular Bells", but he has a long list of songs that are just as good or better that either failed to make the top 40 or didn't chart at all including:
