Default Do you think Press Your Luck has jumped the shark?

When I first started watching Press Your Luck I thought it was excellent and Elizabeth Banks is a funny and wonderful host for the show but now I think it is starting to jump the shark and here are the reasons,
First i'll begin with,
1. Contestants that seem to have stories behind the reason they apply to be on Press Your Luck,
Almost every episode of Press Your Luck i've watched I always see contestants with stories like "My mother is very ill and I want to send her to Hawaii because she has always loved Hawaii" or my kids want to go to Disneyland/Walt Disney World because they always wished to go there" and I can't figure out why Press Your Luck has contestants like these and I don't recall Peter Tomarken's original version having these types of contestants
2. Selection of personal prizes on the bonus round,
It seems that every single contestant on Press Your Luck has a story that seems to match the personal prizes on the show and then they add stuff like free Taco Bell for a year or Billy Joel concert tickets. I mean how about adding personal prizes that the winner REALLY likes?
3. Themed episodes of Press Your Luck,
What is it with these themed episodes of Press Your Luck? Are they trying to copy Wheel Of Fortune theme weeks. Like last week's Deadpool And Wolverine themed episode was cool but they could've made it more fun like having Ryan Reynolds do a guest appearence on that episode and there were few Deadpool themed prizes and the rest were regular prizes
4. Interesting Whammies,
Press Your Luck should've used the Double Whammies from Todd Newton's Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck in addition to new Whammies. What I think they did was recycle the 80's original Whammies from the original Press Your Luck and they should've used computer animated whammies instead
5. Songs at the end of some episodes,
I never knew why they chose to play songs at the end of some Press Your Luck episodes. But it sounds odd that they choose songs like Starship's Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now and Survivor's Eye Of The Tiger and they should've never had songs at the end of some episodes. Is there a Press Your Luck soundtrack coming soon? I don't think so

I think when it was announced that Press Your Luck would return in 2018 I think ABC was eager to see how well it would perform and I think the only reason it's a worldwide hit for ABC is because of Elizabeth Banks. But Press Your Luck should've returned to it's original network which was CBS just like it originally was in 1983-1986. Another thing that I think has caused the show to jump the shark is these squares called the The Big 40/50 and since it debuted these changes last year with The Big 40 I think Press Your Luck wanted to honor the original 1983 version with these prize squares which few contestants seem to win. Finally they should've redone the bonus round with a $1,000,000 square and when contestants hit this square they are an instant millionaire. Because the bonus round I have never figured out why it's impossible for any player that plays the bonus round to win a million dollars and I doubt we will see a Press Your Luck contestant become a millionaire. I cannot believe how Press Your Luck has managed to survive six seasons on ABC and ABC should improve the show to get bigger ratings

No, ABC version of Press Your Luck has not jumped the shark yet because it still in search of a millionaire for the 1st time. look what happen to Who Wants to Be A Millionaire back in 1999 when it had its first ever millionaire 3 months after the show first aired on ABC Network.
