Movie "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" Trailer Released

Indiana Jones 5 Adds "Fleabag" Star Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Lead Opposite Harrison Ford
by Nick Romano
April 9, 2021

"Fleabag" creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge continues her domination of the entertainment space by landing a leading role in the untitled "Indiana Jones 5" opposite Harrison Ford, Disney and Lucasfilm announced on Friday.

Details on Waller-Bridge's role remain under wraps, but this is the first major casting for the film beyond Ford's return as the titular adventuring archaeologist. It also means that the project, after numerous delays, is now getting much closer to filming.

The big Disney investors day presentation last year confirmed "Indiana Jones 5" is now scheduled for theaters on July 29, 2022.

Lucasfilm also confirmed that John Williams, the iconic film composer of the Indiana Jones franchise, will return to score the fifth installment, directed by Logan's James Mangold.

"I'm thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers," Mangold said in a statement. "Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can't help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself."

Mads Mikkelsen Joins Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for "Indiana Jones 5"
by Justin Kroll
April 15, 2021

Following the news that Phoebe Waller-Bridge had landed the female lead in the next Indiana Jones movie, Lucasfilm has found Harrison Ford’s next co-star in Mads Mikkelsen, who is set to join the next installment.

The hope is to start production this summer. Plot details are still vague on what new adventure awaits Jones, as are details behind who Mikkelsen will play. The film is set to bow on July 29, 2022.

Ever since the debut of Raiders Of The Lost Ark in 1984 many people knew that the Indiana Jones franchise would be a surprise hit and so continuing with Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom and Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade Indiana Jones is the second most popular movie franchise next to Star Wars and just like Star Wars it has spun off a TV show as well. I think when this new Indiana Jones movie debuts next year it will be a hit because of Harrison Ford and will introduce new fans to the series as well

Harrison Ford Injures Shoulder while Shooting Indiana Jones 5
by Marcus Jones
June 23, 2021

Actor Harrison Ford has hit a setback while finally filming the long-awaited fifth installment of Indiana Jones.

"In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder," says a Disney spokesperson in a statement to EW. "Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks."

Indiana Jones 5 began filming in the U.K. earlier this month, with James Mangold directing, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge starring opposite the iconic, adventurous archaeologist.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark came out in 1981. Temple Of Doom came out in 1984.

Harrison Ford injured his shoulder? Oh my gosh? How did rehearsing for a fight scene cause him to hurt his shoulder? Because now that Harrison Ford is sidelined with a shoulder injury I hope they don't postpone filming the Indiana Jones film. I do hope Harrison recovers and is okay because if he is injured they will have to put the film on hold. I do wish him the best of luck and hope he's alright soon
