In the beginning of the episode when they meet Allen Ludden and Betty White in the restaurant; Allen is very excited to see Oscar Madison. Betty tells him to calm down and then she says..."Oh Allen...have a piece of white bread!" That line seemed to get screams from the audience. Was there anything significant about that prhase??

I've noticed at times that a studio audience seems to over react during a show -- maybe the line is an inside joke that we'd have to live in Hollywood to understand???? . Does someone else have an answer to this question??
