“I work at Saturday F***ing Night Live, the cringiest thing in show business on every level," Yang said on his and Matt Rogers' Las Culturistas podcast, according to Cracked. "Cringe Mountain is SNL. Eternally grateful that I work there, will be the defining thing of my life and career. And yet, it’s a cringe mountain because to live through working at SNL and to have people constantly tell you how much it sucks, how bad it is, how it’s not as good as it used to be… For your career, that has to do something to you psychologically where you emerge and go, I don’t give a f***.”

well - i'm certain that some of their bits are pretty funny if you're there, live and in person, but seeing them years later, they're dated. even sometimes watching them at home i wonder who really thinks some bits are actually funny.

on the other hand, that time of night isn't prime television time so even if the show is mediocre, it's not going up against anything else significant. even this "lose" is actually a win for snl, really.
