Mr. Clean's "Mean Mr. Clean" commercial era

In the 50's Procter And Gamble decided to give Mr. Clean a new look in their commercials and the result was known as "Mean Mr. Clean." I don't know why Procter And Gamble decided to make Mr. Clean mean in their commercials. But the commercial that I found is the only commercial that uses this Mr. Clean and when I saw this commercial I thought Mr. Clean looked more like Marvel's Kingpin and the beginning of the commercial starts with the slogan "He's Back and ready to fight anything" "Meet Mean Mr. Clean" then the commercial shows scenes of a woman cleaning her house then cuts to an image of Mr. Clean's new look and it appears that this commercial was only seen for one year. I guess people weren't happy with this new Mr. Clean image
