Lifetime should change their slogan - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I hate the way Liftetime is always saying-

Lifetime- Telivision for women

I'm not a woman, but i love to watch Golden Girls. A MUCH MUCH better slogan would be

Lifetime- Telivision ABOUT women

Lifetime, Television for people who like Lifetime movies, The Golden Girls, Intimite Poratraits, Designing Women...ect ect ect lol....

As a male, I don't like it either. Can you imagine the uproar if a cable channel had the slogan, "Television For Men"? TBS was using the slogan "It's a Guy Thing", but they haven't been using it lately as far as I know. There's got to be a better slogan Lifetime can come up with. GG is the only show I watch on that channel. How about "The Best Comedy and Drama on TV" or
"Television For Your Life and Times"....ok, maybe those aren't so good, but at least it wouldn't make male watchers feel so reluctant to watch the channel.

Yeah i only watch the Golden Girls and i use to watch Any Day Now. I'm going on a Lifetime strike. I'm not going to stop watching GG of course, that's my a;ll time fav. show. But i refuse to watch anything else on that station, unless another show i like comes to lifetime. and maybe if i'm flipping through channels and Mad about you is on, I'll watch that

but that's as far as i go

Oxygen is "television for gay men". Yes. 38% of the viewers are male for that nework. I don't mean any insult to gays, but I find that to be quite interesting. Plus, Issac Mizrahi is not appealing to women at all. Eeeeek.

I'm gay as well, and I've always thought of Lifetime slogan as "Television for women...and gay men". I don't even watch Oxygen.
