The Ricardos and Mertzes go on a cruise:

(The Ricardos and Mertzes are all in their stateroom.)

Ricky: “Lucy, absolutely not. You can’t be in my show on the cruise.”

Lucy: “Why not?”

Ricky: “The last million shows you invaded you ruined them.”

Lucy: “Oh, I have not. Did I Ethel?”

Ethel: “Well…”

Fred: “You certainly didn’t and if you believe that, I got a bridge I want to sell to you.”

(Ricky laughs.)

Ricky: “Come on Fred, let’s go to rehearsal Mr. Band Manayer.”

(They leave.)

Lucy (imitating Ricky): “‘Lets go to rehearsal Mr. Band Manayer.’”

Ethel: “What are you gonna do?”

Lucy: “I’ll make my own show on the pool deck with Ricky’s band instruments. Will you help me?”

Ethel: “Sure.”

(A day later, Ricky is on the deck with Fred.)

Man: “You’re Ricky Ricardo.”

Ricky: “Yes, I am.”

Man: “Husband of the lady who is performing tonight on the pool deck. I heard that she has been performing horribly. Take a look at the ad.”

(Ricky does.)

Ricky: “Ay-yi-yi-yi!”

(Ricky goes down there and sees Lucy performing horribly.)

Lucy (singing loudly and off-key): “When Irish eyes are smiling…”

(Crowd boos. Lucy backsteps off and falls into the pool. People laugh including Ricky. Lucy resurfaces and cries.)
