Match Game continues to be one of the most-loved classic formats, however, it has had two ill-fated revivals (three if you include The Match Game / Hollywood Squares Hour). It does, however, continue to be GSN's second-highest-rated show, and is still hilarious to this day! I, personally, LOVE the game.

And, about The $100,000 Pyramid, you may be happy to know that, come the 2002/2003 season, if you tune into one of your local stations, chances are you'll see a wonderful addition. The $100,000 Pyramid will return to television in syndicated with a new host (Donny Osmond, who I heard did great in the pilots, so you know he'll be good in the series) and a slightly different format, more than likely. (The pilot didn't use the tournament-style game, they had plateus, basically, if you win five winners circles in a row, you win $100,000.) Already, 80% of television viewers will be able to see the show, and they've already picked up a FIRM GO (which is a rarity, as usually only shows that are picked up by NY get FIRM GOs). It still is negotiation a pick-up by New York, and still gets to go to NATPE in January, so count on having it in your area.

Question

What are the top 3 on GSN?

I'm assuming Newlywed Game, MG, and Family Feud.

Anyone know the bottom 3?

I THINK you're right....

You're at least 1/3 right. NG is GSN's top show...

NG is the top rated show, but she was right in saying that NG, MG, and FF were the three top-rated shows. I have no idea what the bottom ones are, I never did think to check those.

I know that everybody remembers PYL very fondly, but when you look at it today, it's really not a very interesting show. Aside from the nostalgia value of the whammies, there's really nothing there.

Ya see, it really bothers me when people do that. You assume, more than likely because YOU don't like them, that Tattletales and Body Language are the least-highest rated. I can almost ASURE you they are not. These shows are STILL on the air (with one of them being added to the daytime schedule not that long ago and the other being on the weekend schedule for a steady amount of time), so they're definitely not.

And, I was the one that mentioned on a different board about PYL's ratings, and you're right, they're not great. The only new show that is doing worse is Who Dares Wins. Of the new shows, The $1.98 Beauty Show is the best rated, and Let's Make a Deal is behind it.

You're right...I did get the PYL info from you on the GSN board.....And for that entire half of you're reply, I won't argue, you're 100% correct...

In fact, I also admit I was wrong about Body Language and TattleTales. Especially BL...

T

BTW: I like Tattletales and Body Language.....

Why is LMAD lagging? I've noticed the last times I'ved tuned in, the episodes are repeating (ones with celebrities). Are there only a handful for viewing or is someone asleep at GSN?

Have a nice day

Actually, all of the 1970s syndicated run is available to them, though with so many airings, it doesn't take long for those to repeat. Rumor is, though it's not confirmed and I doubt it's truthfulness, that GSN also has the 1980s syndicated US version, but want to wait to air it.

I know that they've been showing the 1975-76 episodes of LMAD at 10:30AM and 2:30PM, and, I noticed, too, that at 8:30PM, they jumped from the 1971-72 season, straight up to the 1975 celebrity episodes, which, to my understanding, were reserved for Sunday Nights at 10:30PM

The $1.98 Beauty Show??? Yeesh, I think Chuck Barris has people brainwashed. Well, except with Three's a Crowd. And it's no surprise about Who Dares Wins. I wish reality would disappear, no matter what county it's from.

Oh, and they've rerun PYL a couple times as well, at least the morning showing. That makes it dull. Especially when you have to suffer through that annoying woman that was on Family Feud.
