Post FOL Millionaire Question

Hey Guys! Did anyone see Tonight's "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE"?

One question that came up was:

Which of the following actresses played "Jo" in the "Facts of Life"?

The choices were :

a)Kim Fields b)Nancy McKeon c)Kristy McNichol
and d)Lisa Whelchel

The contestant was U.S. a Soccer medalist and she had trouble with it.

The other fellow contestants even tried to help her by flashing 2 fingers (in motion that the answer was "b").

Pretty cool!

Let's see....

We can eliminate C, duh!

As for A, nah...

Which only leaves B and D.

If I remember right, The answer is B..

Is that your final answer?

Yep

You win , a lot of money!

In the lady's defense, she did say that she did not watch tv. She had never even seen "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE" before. Another thing, what's up with leaving Mindy Cohn's name off the list? Just wondering.

Warning: This subject has triggered me to think of an interrelated, but different subject. Do not get angry at me for changing the subject.

Sorry I am going off into a tangent, but believe it or not, there are ppl out there who have never heard of FOL. I'll give you an example:

I recently put in a request to my local library to provide whatever volumes of FOL are available from Columbia House so that patrons can check them out (for free, of course). Since my library offers "I Love Lucy", "The Little Rascals" and other sitcoms and short films that come in volumes, I figured that it ought to provide its patrons the priviledge of being able to check out FOL too. Well what do ya know- the librarian who took my request has NEVER heard of FOL. And as a sidenote, because I think this is relevant- she is an American, she is over 30 an under 60 years of age, and she has been living in the U.S. all her life. She told me that she hardly ever watches TV (and I mean like almost never). Shocking isn't it?

That's true. But she DID say that she liked the show. As for Mindy's name not being included? Yeah! What's up with that? Kristy McNichol...come on!!!!

I never heard of FOL before it came to NAN> And from the commericals it looked like a VERY stupid show. So I didn't watch NAN at all. I started watching it when they showed it at 10 PM. (Back then I didn't watch a lot of NAN. I was more into Star Wars then! What was I thinking!)

Well, I'm under 15. I never liked the USA network. (I don't know why! ) Maybe I would have known about it if I liked it.

Many people who are under 15 have never heard of FOL. This is "normal" because your generation didn't grow up in the 80's, or before that (i.e., you weren't really "around" for most of the time when FOL first aired).

Talking

I grew up on ALF becuse my family was stationed there for the first five years of my life. And in Germany, ALF rules! They even released Project: ALF as a movie there because of his popularity.
