Did anybody else see "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" tonight? The $500,000 question was, "Which of the following shows was the first to tape an entire episode in the USSR?", and the choices were Perfect Strangers, Family Ties, Murphy Brown,& Head of the Class. Of course the answer was HOTC, & I got so excited b/c I knew it! Surprisingly, the guy going for it actually knew it, too, but didn't end up winning the $2 mil. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that they had a question having to do w/ the show.

I thought I read somewhere that it was the first sitcom (not necessarily any tv show) filmed in the USSR. I can't think of any other tv series that did an episode there before 1988 though.

I read that Candid Camera and some various news programs were there before HotC.

I watched this ep. of Millionaire with my parents. It was incredibly exciting! My folks were impressed that I knew the answer right away (how could I not?). Also, the guy who answered this question (without any lifelines!) was from Naperville, IL (a Chicago suburb)!
