Why is Nick at Night showing episodes of Charles in Charge that they just showed the past 2 weeks? Every since last weekend when Charles in Charge was pre-empted for Cheers and Coach marathons, we have seen re-runs from the previous 2 weeks. According to this schedule, this continues through Tuesday October 8th. Then we finally get some new episodes on Wednesday (including a Christmas one!) which I'm gratefull for, but I'm just wondering if Nick at Night got their tapes mixed up or something.

One more thing, why can't Nick at Night air episodes in order? They are all over the place airing season 2 and 3 mixed up lately.

Yes, Eastern and Pacific times. Also, please note that a Nick @ Nite day runs 9pm-6am e/p, so technically 5am e/p is the next day. Know what I mean?

Default thanks

Thanks for the info on upcoming shows pavanbadal. Its really appreciated. Its nice to have an accurate guide to what episodes are coming up. I'm hoping they continue on to season 5 also. I have almost all of season 2-4 taped now. And maybe if we are really lucky, they'll start on season 1 someday.

I'll post November 4th and on by tomorrow or tonight, but sad news, Season 5 being skipped yet again. Starting Nov 4th it will air Sun-Thurs nights at 4:30 a.m. now.

I honestly don't get Nick at Nite. Why do they insist on skipping the 1st and 5th seasons. Are they waiting until the last couple months before they lose the rights to show them? It's really strange, IMO, that they are skipping two full seasons.

Shawn, PB had stated many times that Nickelodeon has aquired the entire series of Charles in Charge. They have not aired the Pembroke episodes and the final season/half-season. The show aired for five and a half seasons.

What Nick is doing is similar to what GSN has done to PYL repeats within the past year and a half. They have only aired episodes from January-November 1984. In another thread, I've posted a question whether GSN has the entire series of PYL or not...

Default Press Your Luck

Actually, this situation with Charles in Charge is not the same as with Press Your Luck on the Game Show Network.

According to Steve Beverly over at the Game Show Convention Center, Game Show Network only bought a limited number of Press Your Luck episodes. So at this time GSN doesn't even have the option to air any others outside of Jan-Nov 1984. (or whenever the limited number were from)

Nick at Night is a different story if what pavanbadal says is true. If they truely have the entire package of Charles in Charge episodes then its very frustrating and confusing as to why they won't air them all. It certainly doesn't make economic sense. (for an explaination of this see Steve Beverly's August FAQ column at http://tvgameshows.net/faqaug.htm)

If it weren't for what pavanbadal said about Nick aquiring all Charles in Charge episodes, I would be almost certain that they didn't have season 1 and 5 in the package, based on what they have been showing.

Oh, one more thing? Brett, where are you getting 5 1/2 seasons of charles in charge? I have never seen anything that showed Charles in Charles had a half season after the 5th. Just curious as to if I'm missing somthing.

The finale aired in December 1990 according to Tim Brooks and Earle Marsh's big television book.
