A United States astronaut Major Anthony Nelson finds his life vastly more complicated when he stumbles upon a bottle containing a 2,000-year-old scantily clad genie. Jeannie follows him home to Cocoa Beach Florida and soon becomes his loyal servant and companion. But unlike most genie stories, there are no three wishes rule - so Jeannie uses her magic all the time, often without talking to her rescuer about it first.
