Two days running I have watched Disappeared (on channel ID in the UK) and the cases that featured I had read about on the UM website.
Molly Bish & Leah Roberts It becomes annoying when I think important details are missed from UM website that could help with the case. In Leah's case it seems that it should be mentioned that Leah had been to a picture house and was witnessed having lunch in a bar with 2 people. Witnesses might remember this. Also on disappeared they stated that prints & male DNA were found from an unknown person in her car and on her belongings. Molly Bish case doesn't mention that another little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes was abducted and murdered approx 5 miles away. I do believe that this could be a link with Molly's case. That a male was arrested for killing his wife (I cannot remember his name) who scarily matched the sketch that was made from the mothers description! And at the time he was driving a white car. I know UM has stopped but some one should update the website with this information as it could help solve a crime and give closure to the families. The older crimes become the more less likely they are to be solved so it makes sense to give as much details as possible (I understand holding back pieces to confirm guilt) in case it refreshes some ones mind. Has any one else seen any crime programs that have featured a case on UM with more details? |

I saw the case of Dana Satterfield on Cold Case Files, I believe (it could have been Forensic Files, but it's been a long time) and of course this was after the crime was solved and an in-depth look at the DNA and the killer, who was only 17 when he committed this heinous crime.
Off the top of my head, I recall seeing the Dowaliby and MacDonald cases on American Justice. The latter case in particular showed VERY graphic pictures of the crime scene and victims Also for Disappeared, Rachel Cooke was briefly profiled by UM when the case was a special alert. I want to see this Disappeared episode actually, to get more info, but haven't been able to find it online. I believe the East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker has been profiled by Cold Case Files as well, an excellent segment with lots of details because it was able to focus purely on one case unlike UM. I also found another excellent documentary on the case profiled by E! and you can easily find it on the forbidden site (just type in original night stalker documentary). This program includes interviews with family members of the victims and one survivor as well (who actually shows her face, bravely I might add). These other shows have the advantage of being able to focus on just one case and give you loads of details whereas UM has to go quickly for the sake of time and other cases. I enjoy watching other shows to fill in the gaps. |

Dana Satterfield was profiled on Forensic Files. I haven't known it to be on Cold Case Files, but I still have a few dozen episodes to get through, which will take me several weeks.
The ONS was indeed profiled on Cold Case Files, however. |

I love anything on the night-stalker =D I've read lots of books about him too.
Just noticed I have a disappeared recorded with Amy Bachtel which I will watch later. Her case from what I remember I had the opinion that her partner did something to her. My mind will be refreshed once I watch the show. I've never seen American Justice on UK television =( but read about the case. Scary case! I think I would take a pass on seeing the pictures. I dont mind a little bit of gore but by the way he stabbed his daughters, I can guess it wouldnt be a pretty sight. I also feel physically sick if its pictures of children. It bad enough seeing an adult dead but a child who you know has suffered great pain is too much to handle. Its bizarre how 2 others admitted to the murder but nothing was done about it. Do you think McDonald did it or did the story really happen the way he claimed? I understand the TV show didnt have the air time to give all the details but the website should. Someone watching the show may need more information to refresh their memory and it just would be better to have it all stored in one place. It is more fun to find the missing bits of information like a true detective =) |

As for MacDonald, the images are briefly shown but for me it was hard to take. I think MacDonald is guilty (after years of thinking he was probably innocent). You can read my opinion among others in this big thread here: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=189015 |
