UM cases on DISAPPEARED (ID channel) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

So far, I've seen the Niqui Cowan case and the one where the lady may have faked her death by driving her SUV into a tree in the mountains.

Then there was the one where the guy in the small town disappeared and turned up alive later on.

What other cases have any of you identified?

Amy Bechtel's case was just recently profiled.

Amy Bradley, who disappeared on a cruise ship, was also profiled on Disappeared.

I have only seen an episode or two so I'm not sure which others have been profiled.

I think they've also done programs on these UM cases:

Susan Walsh

Madalyn Murray O'Hair

Rachel Cooke

The Springfield Three: Stacy Kathleen McCall, Suzanne E. Streeter, and Sherrill Elizabeth Levitt (UM wiki site says this was a UM special alert and apparently not a full segment)

YES! I forgot about that case.

They also ran the case about the mother and the two girls raped and thrown into the water in Florida.

She was. They aired her story on Disappeared too. That makes 3 programs in which she's been on (as far as I know).

Was the Disappeared episode on Amy fairly recent? I can't find anything on Amy Bradley's case being shown on Disappeared. I do recall the Vanished episode.

I could be wrong but I swear it was on Disappeared as well as Vanishing and of course, Unsolved Mysteries. Not sure where to look for it.

You are correct. I am pretty certain the episode just premiered this week.

I watched the Leah Roberts case (young N. Carolina woman whose car runs off road in Washington state) on both UM and Disappeared, and it was interesting to see how much info. Disappeared was able to present due to their hour-long format. Apparently investigators discovered that her vehicle may have been tampered with? Such a bizarre case.

I love that this program is keeping these cases alive. There are a few programs that have recently featured UM cases, like Vanished featured the Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman case.

I really hope Disappeared profiles the Jodi Huisentruit and Rachel Runyan cases. Since both of their cases appeared on UM as quicker "special alerts", I think their cases would really benefit from the longer format. I know UM didn't even get into Jodi's relationship with John Vancise!

I don't recall having ever seen Madayn Murray O'Hair profiled on UM. Was her case merely part of a "special alert" segment? If anything, her disappearance was the subject of a Forensic Files episode called "Without A Prayer."
