does anyone know who sued freddie's psychiatrist and how much did they get???

Tracy,
His psychiatrist was Dr. David Kroger (now deceased, I believe). But I don't think they sued him. I think they sued Freddie's insurance company, because his policy has a suicide clause that had six months to go at the time he shot himself. Notice in all the news articles, they say Freddie died of a "self-inflicted gunshot wound" rather than "committed suicide." This is because in court Freddie's family's lawyers proved that he was so stoned on Quaaludes that he did not know what he was doing when he pulled the trigger. Thus, the cause of death was changed to accidental, rather than suicide.By changing the cause of death, the insurance company was ordered to pay off Freddie's policy. I think the family only got something like $250,000. |

You're welcome, Tracy. I was 15 when Freddie shot himself. I was a great fan. And 1977 was really rough for me because my cat had died on January 15 and my grandfather passed on June 10. Not a the best year for me, but a memorable one...
