Default It's Official - The World's Funniest Joke

Here's something I just pulled from AOL...

LONDON (Reuters) - After a year of painstaking scientific research, the world's funniest joke was revealed on Thursday.

In a project described as the largest-ever scientific study into humor, the British Association for the Advancement of Science asked Internet users around the world to submit their favorite jokes and rate the funniness of other people's offerings.

More than 40,000 jokes from 70 countries and two million critiques later, this is it:

"Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other man pulls out his phone and calls emergency services.

He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator in a calm, soothing voice replies: "Take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."

There is a silence, then a shot is heard.

Back on the phone, the hunter says, "Ok, now what?"

That's it folks, the world's funniest joke.

I want a recount...

Eh, maybe it's one of those jokes that are funny if you read it out loud. Personally, I'm more amused by dirty jokes- but that may just be me.

All of that research, and there's AIDS and diseases that are killing people daily. Besides...it's not even that funny!

lol- I'd be banned for life if I did. I used to get a bunch of good ones on some joke site. Then they started doing a bunch of crappy jokes and I stopped going.

Argh! Now I can't even remember the link for those that want to check out some of the jokes.

Isn't that funny, it just popped in my head. www.lotsofjokes.com Do yourself a favor and check out the main index jokes because the new ones prob. still suck.

I got the joke, too, but whoever wrote the joke has a sick sense of humor. I have heard many funnier jokes than that. Here's one I got out of a joke book years ago.

Why was the math book sad?

It had too many problems.

I heard this on K-Rock yesterday...
2 Million people and this is what they came up with?
At least they're backing us up with regard to Iraq.
