The story of a poor family from the hills of the Ozarks, who moved to Beverly Hills after they became rich overnight, The Beverly Hillbillies rolled into American living rooms on September 26 1962 and became the highest rated show on television within a matter of weeks. Aside from the remarkable characters and memorable plotlines, the show brought various vehicles to the spotlight, many of which became as iconic as the Hillbillys themselves. Today, we're taking a look at the cars of the Beverly Hillbillies. Let's begin.

Nice review of these classics.
Although they made me laugh hysterically at a French woman of means would be driving a VALIANT of all things. Good cars! We had a 63 and a 66 over the course of some years. But there is one missing and I'm not for sure what it is. In the episode where "Tracy Richards" wants to buy the mansion. The chauffeur drives her up in a sort of brown looking convertible. There aren't many clear images of it but I THINK it might be a Facel. Facel Vega? It's a convertible though so...maybe not. But George Barris could make anything he wanted. Facel Vega used Chrysler engines so the link to Chrysler is there. Anyone know for sure ? |
