Post Freddie's last appearance

I remember Freddie's last show. He shot himself on a Friday and they were supposed to air the episode with Ceaser Romero playing his father. But because the show topic involved death (Chico's mother had died) NBC decided not to air that one until a week later. I don't remember for sure which show was aired the night Freddie was in the hospital, but if I saw it again, I would know it. Freddie died the following day, on Saturday and the following Friday during the opening credits, Producer James Komack said that NBC wished to thank all the viewers who expressed their love for Freddie Prinze.
The very last show to air with Freddie was the one where Ed talked to God...

Also, for those of you who don't know this, at the E-True Hollywood Story they misidentify the voice coming from the church (the eulogy) as belonging to Jack Albertson; it's not. It's James Komack. Albertson broke down and couldn't finish...

And, did you guys know that when Jack was leaving the cemetery, some woman came up to him with her phone number and said to call her, that her son looks just like Freddie Prinze.

where was that selfish ladies compassion for a grieveing friend, that must have hurt Jack terribly to have her push her son on him to replace Freddie.

I believe the episode that aired the night Freddie was hospitalized was "Champs Ain't Chumps" the one where Chico becomes a boxer against Ed's wishes. That episode contains one of my favorite scenes, where, at the end, Ed gives Chico a present his wife gave him years ago. I forget what the gift was, though.

And I agree that the woman was wrong to do what she did.

TV adam
I believe the gift Ed gave Chico was a cross necklace that margret had given him.
I love that episode because it shows how very close those two were to one another.

Great input there. Yes, Freddie's last episode was "Ed talks to God", and the E ! True Hollywood Story botched it on identifying James Komack as giving the eulogy. And I had heard about the woman who gave Jack Albertson the business card. Tacky. Again, great information
