I'm in this film class where we watch movies and discuss them. What a concept huh? Weel, we're doing film noir and I was looking thru my textbook and there was a pic from Lucy's movie The Dark Corner. Ha, so I came up with this idea...every week I'll present a new movie and we can discuss anything about it we can come up with.
This week's movie: The Dark Corner I was totally lost the entire time.

Good film choice. This is an excellent example of the film noir--and the cast is very good. Headlined by Lucy as the secretary who trys to help her boss (played by Mark Stevens) clear himself of a murder charge. Onother top cast member is Clifton Webb who co-starred in one of the great film noirs--"Laura" with Gene Tierney. He plays a similar role in this film--witty and aserbic with most of the good lines. If you have a chance--rent this film. I give it *** out of *****. This film was released in 1946 when Lucy was 35 and she looks great in it. Directed by Henry Hathaway, who gave Lucy a hard time on the set--but he was known to do that to actors.

She does look great in it. If anyone gets Fox Movie Channel, it pops up on there from time to time as well.

Sorry i can't play, dun't have this one yet, Dark Corner and Lured are two of her best dramas and i dun't own them yet, but soon. I've been focusing on her comedy, getting a Lucille Ball drama is like getting a video where Kate Hepburn sings and dances. Can't wait till you get to The Big Street with this new series of yours Dawsongirldiva!

The thing in my location spot?
Have you ever seen The Powerpuff Girls? It's a cartoon. Anyway... 1. They live in Townsville. 2. The ugly green monkey is Mojo Jojo- a villianous simian bent on destroying The Powerpuffs, but they kick his butt every time. |
