Does anyone know why in the real early seasons Fonzie was so quiet? Its like he did'nt talk as much to like Richie, Potsie, and Ralph and just had sort of a quiet layed back like personality. Then, in the later eps. Fonzie had more of a cool, sweet, charming, personality and he talked more. Wel,, no matter what personalit he has he's still The Fonz right?

That's a good question. Fonzie was never suppose to be a full main character and was also hardly seen in early episodes. Chuck was suppose to always there for Richie, but as you look at it Chuck didn't speak as much either. So really the only reason Fonzie was shown is because the producers wanted to give the show a twist, instead of having all clean-cut teenage boys, but they wanted Fonzie to make more actions than to speak so that would make him more cool to the other characters. But then as Fonzie's popularity grew with the fans so did his scenes and role, to make Fonzie an American Popculture Hero.

Thanks for your imput it was very helpful. Is'nt it something how Fonzie went from a little character to a big one and developed more of a personality?

Yeah, I saw the first HD season for the first time this year and was shocked at how quiet Fonzie was. In certain eps, he didn't do so much than raising his thumb.
