Most people could die tomorrow and some people would be sad for half a minute and move on. I don't believe in God so no love lost there.

Yep ge, this is true, we go on no matter when and who as long as we "work at it", and the god issue, I'll let you know if I get that tap on the back from "the God"....

So true Caroline. We need to take care of ouselves which I am learning to do since Dave died. I know that my two kids care but they have their lives to worry about and I don't require much out of them. I practically raised my two grandchildren but I rarely see them . My grandson, who is newly married, lives about 250 miles away in Northern Michigan and we only see him on holidays. I do see my grand daughter often. She and my daughter take me out to lunch once a week . My son lives with me so he's around most of the time. So I consider myself fortunate.

Penny you are very fortunate and your son living with you is a big PLUS....My grandkids are so very busy in their own lives and little time for gram, and I'm understanding of that. I've been raising myself forever, ex departed scene early in marriage, and I wanted no more control from anyone and especially a man. The divorce shook me up big time...

My own parents were married 62 yrs and she took care of dad forever....he was lost when she died first....
