I recently read the article in TV Guide for the week of Sept. 28 - Oct. 4, 2002, entitled, "50 Sexiest Stars Of All Time." It was pretty concise and well done, in general, becaise they did go back through the years and consider the sex appeal of the various stars and it's impact on their own era of stardom, instead of merely concentrating on the stars of today.
But how, oh how could they have missed Mary Tyler Moore as Laura Petrie? I mean, I'm certain that MTM did as much for the popularizing of Capri pants and low flats as Diana Rigg, for example, did for the leather Cat Suit and pumps, and as Barbara Eden did for the Harem outfit. We all know the impact that stars have on fashion, travel, and public opinion, so how could the Dick Van Dyke Show be considered #13 in the "50 Greatest TV Shows Of All Time" (TV Guide, May 4-10, 2002), yet MTM not even be considered one of the sexiest stars of the same period? Here I go again, but I think I'll copy and paste this to an email to TV Guide! They missed the mark on this one. Steve |

I thought that list was pretty silly. To omit Mary Tyler Moore and Elizabeth Montgomery!! cmon what are they thinking? Oh, they did include the women of Baywatch!! who can't hold a candle to Mary or Liz.
