Default Does every Three's Company Episode have a ending tag scene, or just some episodes?

I wanted to know did every three's company episode have a tag scene at the end because years ago, i watched TC on my local stations here in philly and now i'm started to see that i missed out on a lot. Today i watched the episode "Extra, Exrta, on TNN when the reporter wrote bad things about the trio and never saw the tag scene before. I wonder do a lot of local stations leave out tag scenes. I just have one thing to say-THANK GOD FOR CABLE TELEVISION!

Pretty much every episode had one. Local stations don't air the tag scenes, since they're not as important as other scenes to the episode's story. Sometimes with the tags on TNN and N@N they'll actually edit the tag in with the last full scene so it looks like there is no tag when there is . . . at least that's what I've read.

BTW, Local stations do include some scenes that N@N/TNN does not. So you do gain something from both, but you still lose something *shrug*

I remember seeing the tag scene for the Grandma Tripper Episode and i always though that was the end when the trio is thrown out the door. But i can't recall what the Tag Scene was-but i know it was one.

Well the local station here in philly never showed a tag scene of Three's Company-I was always puzzled by that.

Well, no locals as of now air the show. And if they were, you SHOULD watch the show on locals, if you combine N@N and the locals, you might get the episode ALMOST uncut. Yes I am being notified by e-mail. Check your User CP section, you might have turned it off.

What section is the user CP section? Is that the check box at the bottom that asks if you want to be notified by email?

In User CP...then go to Edit Options...then say YES to this:
Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.

This is off of the subject...but I have some ABC airings of 3'sC which have just the background music for 3'sC, without the singing...and it's actually quite delightful.

I like the ones with the little end parts... they are always cute scenes.

I know that the first season did not have tag scenes. I have two of them uncut on tape. I can tell that some tags are cut from N@N and TNN, when I view them on tape. Here are some episodes with tags cut out:
CYRANNO DE TRIPPER
DAYS OF BEER AND WEEDS (no, when they go to that last commercial and it comes back to Roper ringing the door bell and Jack giving him the pot, that is not the tag. The tag is Janet visiting the Ropers the next morning and reading the paper where Stanley wrecked Helen's plant, then the two "making up.")
TEACHER'S PET ( there is a snip of the tag caught in the fade out)
PARADISE LOST ( a snip of the tag is caught during the fade out)
UP IN THE AIR (a snip of the tag is caught during the fade out)

Just some examples. Also, when a commercial appears like five minutes after the first set, the tag is cut, like MATE FOR EACH OTHER, MAKE ROOM FOR DADDY, and NIGHT OF THE ROPERS. If the scene runs for more than a minute after the second commercial, then the tag is cut, like AND BABY MAKES TWO and AND BABY MAKES FOUR. It's just all in the timing. The tags are easy to cut, because one easy minute out of three to cut.

It really shows you how long the series has been in sydication. I have seen the "A" cut and the "B" cut enough times to have memorized both, lol.

I hit me the other day "I've been watching the repeats for 20(!!!!) years now! I can't think of any other show whose repeats I have watche for that long. Cuz if things now were like then, TC should've been in syndie by 1981 or so.

Some of the tags are fun to watch now. I vaguely remember them from my local station that used to run them years ago. Another station picked them up and would cut them. But the odd thing was that it even without them the show seemed to end on an appropriate note. Some sort of crazy moment to wrap things up.

But I gotta kick outta the reporter ep. the other day. Totally forgot how the tag went, so gotta big laugh when Knotts said "...their gay landlord Ralph Furley". HEHEHEHEHHE.

Yep, it aired on ABC Daytime repeats in 1981 and then it started airing on local stations during the 1982-1983 syndication season. I've never seen the local/TBS version and I wish I had. There are some funny scenes I've read about that were included in those versions.
