Hmm..

As far as technical wizardry, Eddie Van Halen is amazing, but for overall musicianship (if that's a word) I would have to go with Clapton.

Rhandy Rhoads would have been. he was like 23 and a huge rock Icon i mean... if he were still alive with 20 more years of guitaring under his belt hed be so great. makes me sad that he died before i had a chance to be alive while he was. I LOVE U RANDY!

I think Jimi Hendrix is among the greatest. He was the first guy to string a guitar so that a lefty can play it. That shows that being a southpaw results in being weird, which results in creativity.

Robert Johnson (King of the Delta Blues)
- He paved the way. Everyone was influenced by him. (Rolling Stones, Zepplin, Clapton, etc.) And boy did he use that slide guitar..........he certainly had amazing skills. He was awesome.
