Was Freddie Prinze ever on Sanford & Son? (As the Mechanic) Wasn't Chico & The Man a spin-off from SanFord & Son? Thanks for your help!

The confusion probably stems from the fact that I think CHICO was on after SANFORD on the same network. Peace!

Also, there was another cool Hispanic actor on "Sanford and Son" named Gregory Sierra who played the role of "Julio" a neighbor of the Sanfords. He used to give Fred a hard time and tried to enlighten him on his culture.

I always had a thing for Gregory Sierra as well. Maybe he wasn't quite as handsome as Freddie, he was balding a bit on top, but his deadpan straight guy and wisecracks always made me laugh. He was really good on Barney Miller, too, another of my favorite shows. |
