Anyone With Cable Nielsen Ratings? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone has cable ratings for during afternoon, I know it is extremely tough to get a hold of the Neilsen Rankings especially for daytime cable...but if anyone has them...I would love to know!!!

How about Friends, Roseanne, Drew Carey, Home Improvement, Little House on the Prairie, and Matlock on TBS.

On Lifetime, Mad About You, Designing Women, and Golden Girls.

The ones on WTBS are hard to pin down because for those shows the stations keep indivdual records based on the area they serve. WTBS is a local channel in Atlanta that happens to be a superstation so the channel would keep the records with them. Little House must do very well locally in Atlanta because it has been on at that time in the morning for about as long as I can remember. You can get national syndicated ratings that combines the ratings for all the stations but they are based on type of show, for intance, court shows, talk shows, game shows, ect, and they are combined so you get an overall rating. Here are the top five comedies that bring in the most ratings as of the list out in March

1. Friends
2. Home Improvement
3. Seinfeld
4. Fraiser
5. Cheers

Of course any show like Will and Grace that premiered this fall are not out yet. Older shows like Mamas family do not air 5 times a day like some of these other shows so are not counted in the combination. The number one show in all of daytime is Judge Judy follwed by Oprah Winfrey and Wheel of Fortune comes in number one for Game shows. As for TNT I don't have much for that but I think they keep specific rating for just them because shows actually do get cancelled on there. Lifetime I don't have but from what I read Golden Girls does very well, which is why it is on so much there. I just wish some of these station managers would have some guts to say hey Judge Judy is on 6 other stations in my market so maybe I will put on something that isnt. But then again the show makes money so other stations that dont have it want it and it ends up on even more stations. I hope this helped a little.
