The Spectacular Failure of the Star Wars Hotel

I was debating about creating a topic and posting a link to this video, but since the video has gone viral with over 7 million views and the topic creator is able to stay on topic and make her point without diving into politics, I decided to go ahead with it. Basically it' a documentary about her horrible experience at the now defunct Star Wars: Star Cruiser Hotel in Walt Disney World. The video is over 4hrs long with chapter breaks and it never gets boring. She is able to pin the tail on what is wrong with corporate Disney.

When it was announced that Disney would be launching a Star Wars resort many people were surprised at the idea of a themed Star Wars resort because if there's one thing Disney LOVES is themed hotels and we had seen Disney do this with Animal Kingdom Lodge where animals come to your window and you can look out over the savannah in your room Port Orleans Resort where some rooms have a Royal/Disney Princess theme inside and Art Of Animation Resort where they have rooms themed to The Little Mermaid Finding Nemo The Lion King and Cars and Disneyland has the Pixar Place Hotel. And so when Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser was christened and open for business people were so shocked at what this long anticipated project actually was rather than a Star Wars themed hotel because it was essentially a role playing type of activity place. The main problem was that they wanted you to participate in a Star Wars inspired adventure that had NOTHING to do with the Star Wars movies and they wanted fans to role play original characters and not ones from the Star Wars movies. The other problem was the price and when you get the general picture people were not gonna pay the expensive prices for the cabins which reminded me of hospital rooms when I saw photos of the cabins and this "voyage" experience could've easily been a top prize on a game show such as Let's Make A Deal or The Price Is Right. What Disney could've done was have Star Wars themed character dining where fans could meet Star Wars characters and have Star Wars characters do meet and greet autograph sessions to meet fans and bring out some Star Wars themed activities from the movies too. What's shocking was that you never saw one commercial for Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser air in the time it was open which tells me that Disney spent little money on Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser and it was rushed too soon. I also think that Disney got inspired by and copied the popular Grey Wolf Lodge hotel chain but made a Star Wars themed version of it. But if anyone were to tell you what was the worst fine mess Disney made Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser would fit at home in that category

How old are you? Just curious cause itll make sense as to why you're constantly rude to people lol.

That being said, this was doomed to fail anyway, considering it was a 2 night stay. The only upside to it was you had the entrance to Galaxy's Edge right there and you didnt have to go all the way to the front of the park to get in.
