Default Wanting The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy back on T.V

I know this site is technically for I Love Lucy but I don't see anything wrong with talking about Lucy's other shows for this on this site as this site gets about 100 times more use than the other 2 Lucy sites. I don't know about everyone else, but I would really love to see The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy back on television. I know Hallmark brought the rights to The Lucy Show back in the spring. Soon afterwards I heard it was coming to t.v. in July, then September, then January, and now just this weekend I heard Hallmark might not even show it. Does anyone know the truth on this matter? I would really like to know. I assume they are going add the show to its schedule, why else would they buy it. And as for Here's Lucy as hear of no plans to show it. Being a political science major at Wake Forest, I know if you want to change things in government you let your representatives know what you think, and do it as many times as needed. So my idea is for anyone who would like to see these shows back on the air, to email TVLand and Hallmark EVERYDAY until they put these shows on the air. It might not work but its worth a try. I know TVLand got a negative response a couple of years ago for removing one of my favorite shows Sanford and Son off the air. I know they received a lot of emails, a few from myself, asking for the show back and I'm glad to say they are finally putting the show back on the air in January. I know TVLand will have to obtain the rights to show these programs but I really don't think that would be a problem. Does anybody agree with me or have any other ideas that might work?

That's a great idea, if everybody does it, they can't ignore it, many shows have been saved, at least temporarily bu this type of campaign. I personnaly gave up on that tact though and want copies made of every show, i'm just tired of waiting. I got my first 50 Lucy shows and am ordering the last 100 this week. I had forgotten how great they were, as i hadn't seen them in years. Some of those shows are as good as any ILL episodes. I'll tackle Here's Lucy the same way, and i'll never be at the mercy of those stupid programmers again. Because TV Land Canada has been showing the same two seasons of ILL since January of last year, which means i could report them to Amnesty International for making me sit through Drafted all those times. The good news is yesterday they finally went to season three. But i'm tired of the commercials and the constant cuts, there's nothing like having all the copies of all the shows, it's my dream, and i hope to God i see it before i die!

I wouldn't mind all the episodes for all 3 shows on tape myself.

Where did you get the first 50 shows on tape from?

His name is Bweir, real name Brock, a fellow Canadian, i assume he's got that name on this site as he's on every Lucy site, he's a Lucy trivia expert, but don't you dare order the shows from him yet, i want my copies to be made first, don't jump the line! I always say i won't be happy till i have all 500 shows, and the 80 movies, then i'll tackle the specials, guest shots and quiz show appearances, i WANT IT ALL!

Oh, and Michael Cordero of Empire Media has her specials and radio shows and many others, he copies them for whoever wants them, and he's not expensive either! Next time he sends me an e mail, i will put it on here for whoever wants to order anything!

On another board they listed everybody with their names and everything, it was great to finally know who we're talking to. Getting back on topic, if i had a dollar for every fan i've encountered who's never even seen a Lucy show or a Here's Lucy, or even Life with Lucy, i'd be a rich man. And when i go to the stores and find these old ****ty series available season by season, it just kills me. Don't these idiots know that ILL was the most popular TV show of all time, and the Lucy show and Here's Lucy were also, even the 13 episodes of Life with Lucy would sell, not to mention the 13 of the Lucy Desi comedy hour and so on. .. Thank God i hear I Love Lucy will finally be sold season by season like Friends and all the others starting with season two. No more having to join Columbia House to own the greatest most popular TV show of all time!

Examples? What do you consider ****ty series? I'm just curious.

The only drawback with that is that they're so bloody expensive. The Outer Limits first season DVDs are $80. The Simpsons was a bit cheaper though. I got it on sale for $30.

Funny story...you know what CH did? My subscriptions to both Adam-12 and Hogan's Heroes ended so they offered me a free DVD to get another series. Figuring there couldn't be too many DVDs for The Powerpuff Girls 1) because there aren't that many eps, and 2) because I only got 5 HH DVDs...I ordered them. Funny thing...they're the same ones you can buy in the stores. At least I got the whole thing free.

A friend of mine on these boards who also comes on here said that i should NEVER discuss religion or politics, and also NEVER put down somebody else's favorite shows. So i'll try and stick to that, but i mean shows that barely lasted a few seasons as opposed to Lucy's shows which were ALWAYS in the top ten. I don't like having to deal with Columbia House at all. Every three episode set was costing me close to 50 dollars with taxes and all and their operators here in Canada were rude, so that's why i gave up after 26 volumes, figuring do i really want to pay 3 thousand dollars for the show, 60 volumes at 50 a piece, but then i was sorry i hadn't contined, i missed the shows so much, but now that they are on DVD, i'm starting over anyway!

I'm exaggerating as always, it was actually only like $47.50, i rounded off! Don't forget our Candian dollar is worth like 63 cents compared to your Yankee greenback!
