That wasn't by my purpose to post twice at same time, but somehow during processing to post, this was posted twice at same time.

Are you clicking on the Submit Reply or Submit New Thread button twice? It seems to happen more often in the morning and with longer posts for some reason. The BirthdayBot has glitched a few times with multiple threads.

I think I clicked submit reply...twice? The processing for submitting seems to take little longer.. maybe that's why

The Quick Reply posts, the ones that hit some timer and don't go in right away, go to a redirect message, and eventually you see the post. These are the ones that sometimes double post. That's been like that for years. Just delete the duplicate when you see it happen.

You probably double clicked reply when trying to post and when you posted your message again it will tell you that your message is already on the boards. I know it happened to me once when it was taking a long time to post my messages
Glad to be helpful Tenter Hawkee

When you post a response that rocks, you see it twice.

Yesterday I didn't have many posts, and I had some of them double-post. Also, I don't hit submit reply twice.
I almost always use "Quick Reply," and this double post problem occurs when the Quick Reply times out, and goes into this long, drawn out wait. It'd be interesting to know why the Quick Reply sometimes times out, which then sometimes results in a double post. |
