I know many wondered about the work I was referring to. It is from "TV Guide" (yes, a publication that should know better) from 1989 titled "At Last! Women Worth Watching." There, the author says: "June Cleaver on 'Leave It to Beaver,' Donna Stone on 'The Donna Reed Show' and the whole page-boyed [sic] sisterhood whose repertoire ran from fussing to fainting to cooking." If anyone wants the exact citation, let me know, I'll look it up for you.
