Post The Golden Girls wont be release on VHS or DVD because...

It is a far to succesfull show that is still shown in syndication and if they put all the episodes out to buy, people wont watch the reruns anymore... although they are bringing out MAD ABOUT YOU in season boxsets (great news ). Everyone buy a copy of that!!!

I wish they'd bring out SEINFELD on DVD more though!

But they are putting Mad About You out, and that's in syndication on Lifetime. I honestly can't see The Golden Girls NOT coming out eventually. even if it is ten years from now. EEk!

They will eventually release it on DVD, but I'm not too sure about VHS, since thats starting to become a thing of the past...

Well Friends does well in syndication. I dont see why Golden Girls wouldnt do well on DVD. Mad About You I could care less about. Just another show that could potentially infringe upon my Golden Girls, and Designing Women viewing on Lifetime. Not to mention the Nanny. I have a bad feeling about them brining that show on board. Could it spell the end for Designing Women and Golden Girls? Will they be banished to the 11pm to 2 am slot only? We shoudl not be embrassing these new shows lifetime is putting on.

Wink

It's alright, GFT, DVD players get cheaper every day (I was actually able to purchase one!). You can get one for like 70 bucks, and a decent one, not a random off brand. Besides, DVDs don't wear out like VHS do after repeated viewings.

It's not that I don't have one, (I have a Toshiba one; I also have the Friends and S&S DVDs!) but videos are going to be gone soon, it looks like...

Even if Golden Girls did come out on DVD/VHS, I would still watch it on Lifetime. Columbia House or whoever
doesn't put out the whole series in
one shot, so they or whoever still
could put it out on DVD/VHS. The fans
would have the first few episodes and the
fans would still continue to watch the remaining episodes that they don't have on Lifetime. IMO, if it's a success Golden Girls should be put on DVD/VHS,
I can't be certain, but I'm sure the fans
would still watch it on Lifetime.
