S1 E5 Brotherly Love

This is the first time that I noticed the bunkbeds in the boy's room.

Do you know when they split them up and made two beds in the room?

Both boys seem kind of old to still be in bunkbeds. Wally and Beavers were split up long before Beaver was Robbie's age.

The only bunk beds I saw on Sons were for the triplets in season 12. One boy was separate and two of them were in bunk beds.

Wow! Yes--so is that in Mike's room?

I saw this yesterday during my second time watching the show. I paused the TV to leave the room and when I came back, I saw the beds. I thought the whole thing looked so odd with Mike there being he was what, senior in high school? Who has bunkbeds at that age?

My brother and I had bunkbeds to give us more room to play on the floor and then when we were "of age" we moved and had more rooms, and I got my own.

One would think the bunkbeds were used by the 2 youngest, Chip and Robbie.

I was trying to sort out what happened, triggered by Mike leaving. I don't know if this is accurate or not:

1. Mike and Steve have their own rooms; Robbie and Chip share a bedroom.

2. Mike moves out upon marrying Sally; Robbie moves into Mike's former room; Chip stays put.

3. Ernie moves in with Chip.

4. Robbie and Katie are wed; they sleep together when she moves in.

5. The upstairs is remodeled to make room for the triplets' arrival.

6. Robbie's family moves out (into their own apartment).

7. Steve and Barbara are wed; they sleep together when she moves in; Dodie receives her own room.

8. Chip moves out upon marrying Polly; Ernie now has the room to himself.

9. Katie moves back in, with the triplets, while Robbie is living in Peru.
