I found the 1997 self-titled album by UK singer Lisa Stansfield and I wondered if this album was meant to be a comeback album for Lisa in America? From what I listened to the album has an R&B flavor and she teamed up with some of the biggest songwriters. Diane Warren also wrote a song for Lisa Stansfield on this album called I Cried My Last Tear Last Night and it's a great R&B ballad. It appears that this album was not a good seller and many people were surprised by Lisa Stansfield's change from a pop star to R&B star that Arista Records didn't promote the album enough. I did hear before this album was released Lisa Stansfield released her third album So Natural in 1993 but it never was released in America so this album must be her fourth album and a remix EP of this album was released in America as well. Was there any singles released from this album and what's the story on why Lisa Stansfield's self-titled album was not a huge seller as they thought it would've been?
