Use physcology (sp?) it sounds stupid but it works, stare at something for a while and say if I roll my eyes something bad will happen or something like that. I do that to myself sometimes if I want to stop it.

I did that with cracking my knuckles! I thought if I cracked my knuckles I would get killed and I wouldn't do it, I'm weird but it does work if you think about that every time you do some kind of bad habit.

My eyes do that. When they get dry they like open really big and roll back. It's annoying.

that sounds like you have OCD, I already mentioned before I had OCD and the same problem as you plus more. I used to wash my hands until they were all bloody and wrinkly when I was like 11 and 12 but it went away with medicine.

You just freaked me out there - I was cracking my knuckles at the exact moment I read your post!

I used to have that problem of washing my hands compulsively. I didn't get any help with it, I guess I just grew out of it. I still do some things like that though. Like if I leave the house, I'll lock the door and I'll tug and tug on the handle over and over again just to check that it's locked properly. Once I locked the door and I checked the handle about 10 times and then I left. I got down to the bottom of the road and I thought "what if the door isn't locked properly?" and I walked all the way back up to the house just to try the door handle again.

It's not washing my hands I have a problem with- it's brushing my teeth! I'll brush my teeth like 6 times before I convince myself they are clean. It's weird.

I do the same thing. I turn the doorknob so many times to check and see if it's really locked. I can't break that habit.

LOL, I have this thing with people biting their nails. I think its because mine are nice (not as much as they used to, but long and decent), I cant stand seeing people chew them like they havent eaten in days lol. Besides, do you want them to get infected?!?! Yeah...I wanted to be a manicurist.

I have this thing that I do whenever Im on the computer..I CONSTANTLY click the mouse lol. Its so annoying, and I tell myself to stop...but I cant!! I also crack my toes a lot, but the only seemt o crack when Im standing up. So sometimes Im in bed, and I have the urge to crack my toes, and if they dont crack I GET OUT of bed just to crack them!!
