Default Is that really Suzanne Somers in the opening credits who walks past Jack in season 1?

I was told by someone that in the opening credits of Three's Company in the first season, suzanne somers is the girl who walks past jack with a wig on while he is riding the bike and falls in the sand. Is this true?

It was just supposed to be a regular girl on the Santa Monica beach, so they made Suzanne unregonizable. They were trying to get the credits done real fast so they just stuck her in a wig instead of getting someone else to do it. It would make more sense too, since there would be no reason for Jack to fall off his bike at the site of Chrissy since he sees her everyday.

Actually whoever girl that really is she seems to have brown hair more than brunette. She doesn't seem to walk like Sommers. Or even have her build that much. I am not sure our "Chrissy" is really that girl.

It is, it's Suzanne in a wig. John Ritter once said you can recognize those 'buns' anywhere.

John Ritter actually made that statement publicly?

Here's his quote from the Three's Company book:

Quote:
But who would be the sexy brunette that would make Tripper fall? Says John, "That brunette is Suzanne with a wig. You can tell by her little Suzanne buns." Seawell says Somers' shapeliness made her the perfect canidate. "I told the costume designed to run and find a wig--anything that looks unlike Suzanne."

Yes, it is from the book "Come and Knock on Our Door: A Hers and Hers and His Guide to Three's Company" by Chris Mann. I think John also mentioned this on the E! True Hollywood Story or some other thing on TC.

You know Sean, the mistake filled Growing Up Brady book written by former Brady Bunch cast member Barry Williams proves that the Three's Company book using info given by the Three's Copany cast need not actually be correct for sure.
