I really like the "Rock Around The Clock" openings.. especially the ones featured on the older syndication packages(not TVLand's), because the pictures would alternate from time to time.. Sometimes you would see Fonzie getting a soda out of a machine by kicking it; other times you would see Potsie getting a sundae dumped in his lap by a waitress, and there was also one that featured Mr. C., attempting to start a car that Richie and Potsie bought(The Lemon), and the seat flying back..

I also like the shorter version of season three, and I always thought the seventh season had a catchy one..

All the opening sequences you mentioned definitely have been featured on TVLand. The scenes of Fonzie kicking the soda machine and Potise getting the sundae dumped on him are from the Season 2 opening.

I could very well be wrong, it's been a while since I've seen the earlier years on TVLand, but the way I remember it is that they used the same opening for all of the first season episodes(the one where Richie, Potsie and Chuck are combing their hair), and when the show aired on TBS, there was also another opening for the second half of season one(Mr. C's seat going back, Fonzie checking his hair out in the mirror at Arnold's) that TVLand never used.. Then for season two, on TBS it alternated between Fonzie and the soda machine, Potsie and the sundae, the one with Mr. C. and the car, and then another one that was kind of a mix of all of them.. On TVLand, I was under the impression that for season two, they only used two versions, the one that featured the Potsie sundae scene, and the one with Fonzie getting the soda..
In any case, while we're on the subject, does anyone know if the scene where the sundae is dumped in Potsie's lap is actually from an episode? It looks as if it could be a possible omitted scene from "You Go To My Head", anyone know?

The sundae scene was never featured in an episode, as far as I know. The scene with Fonz and the soda machine is from the Season 1 episode "Knock Around The Block," though. And the scene with Mr. C in the car is from Season 1's "The Lemon."

Yep

And the clip where Ralph gets the cheeseburger in his megaphone is Episode 31 The Not Making of a President, and the one where Ralph is putting slat on his food and it goes everywhere is form Episode 5 Hardware Jungle ( I always wondered how Ralph did that prank, did he just put a bunch of slat in the salt shaker?)

I assume Ralph just loosened the top of the salt shaker ... that Ralph, what a card.

And you're right about the megaphone scene being from "The Not Making of a President," but if you look closely you'll see that a slightly different version of the scene was used in the actual episode (as opposed to the one in the opening credits).

Yeah, the scene with Ralph and the salt was pretty hilarious..
Chances are, the scene where Potsie gets the sundae in his lap was just made for the opening, but like I said, I could also see it occuring in "You Go To My Head"; as Richie starts kissing random woman, Potsie decides to give it a try with the waitress, and splat.. It's interesting to note the way that Fonzie laughs in that particular scene, he really seems to be cracking up.

Yeah, the sundae scene was probably done during the making of "You Go To My Head," maybe it was intended to be in the actual episode but was cut for time, so they decided to use it in the opening.

Another scene they used for the opening of Season 2 was from the episode "The Deadly Dares," where Richie and Potsie roller skate down a school corridor w/ski masks on and steal a teacher's wig.

Season 3. Season 3 and 4 ARE different--that Joanie clip they used for her credit in season 4 bugs me!! It looks like they were being rushed or something. Season 3 def.
