Remembering the debut of Nutrasweet

In the 1980's while the health and fitness craze was still going strong the 1980's also brought a trend to eat healthy and which a diet sweetener was born from a single gumball mailed to people to celebrate it's debut. That sweetener became known as Nutrasweet and as you can see from it's commercials Nutrasweet was known as the healthy alternative to sugar. And what a fad Nutrasweet became from it's mentions in commercials in diet sodas to candy commercials and it even had it's own commercials too. In the 90's Nutrasweet changed it's name to Nutrasweet Spoonful and a new commercial was made celebrating the name change. Nutrasweet is no longer on the market today but it's commercials will remind people of the healthy food craze of the 80's
