Default Abusive husband that likely murdered his wife and told lubricious story

I can’t remember the name of the case but something like he was a drinker and abusive and he likely killed his wife after they went out to a pool hall or bar. What is the name of the case??

Yeah Mark Nichols was the husband. To this day I don't think that's been solved. Hard to believe he got away with that for this long if indeed he did it, he didn't come off as the sharpest tool in the shed. Of course that may be just the impression he wanted to convey. Make people think he was simply to dumb to get away with murder and that might be a factor in how he did.

But in general, if you can hide a body well enough chances are you can get away with murder, since rarely is anyone convicted without one. Though it does happen.

But during his interview, he was talking about how some people theorized he cut her up and buried her at the dump, you could almost see a smirk on his face as if he found that amusing simply because they were looking in the wrong place.

Mark’s interview makes Forest Gump sound like a world scholar. He gives you the impression of a guy with a middle school education who doesn’t have the intelligence to pull off such a crime. I’m still wondering if he played that image up in order to keep suspicion off of him. But in all likelihood, he was probably just lucky.

ah Mark "I'm not a violent person" Nichols.

I don't think it was an act. he is dumb and lucky. but smart enough to know that he will not be charged unless Christie's body is found. This was a case where we know that Mark had friends in high places which is the reason that Christie went out of town to seek legal counsel. I think someone advised Mark that he cannot be charged without her body being found. with that knowledge, Mark can arrogantly present his side of the story as if he were the victim which we all know is BS. He told blatant lies to cover up her disappearance. his itemization of the articles that he recalled Christie packed in her suitcase. his dropping off the kids at the grandmother's to look for her without asking the grandmother if she heard from Christie. it is all very dumb on his part. It makes him look very bad.

I think he's a perfect example you don't necessarily have to be smart to get away with murder, just need a little luck and know a good place to hide a body and your chances are good sadly. When you think about that its a wonder there are not more unsolved murders and disappearances to be honest. I think you have to give some props to law enforcement that they solve this many. Of course a lot of law enforcement is corrupt and lazy too.

I just released a podcast on this case today. It has interviews with Debra and Connie (Christi's cousin and mother) if anyone would like to check it out.

If I remember correctly, someone commented in the past and said Mark's family had close ties with the local police. That alone could be a reason why he hasn't faced any consequences.

It was so obvious he did it. They found blood in his car in the trunk. I believe the cops let it slip through the cracks.
